Jason Janow

Jason Janow grew up surrounded by the wonders of nature from an early age.  Born and raised in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia, Jason learned to appreciate these wonders from childhood.  Long-time pastimes like hunting and fishing deepened that love of nature, and have persisted as contact points for exploring his surroundings.

Embracing the idea that art and craft should come from the local and the familiar, Jason often returns from trout fishing trips with pockets stuffed with small river pebbles, unusual rocks, and twigs and slips of bark.  These form the seeds of his creative endeavors.  Paired with skills honed in professional jewelry craft programs - completed with honors and distinctions - the natural and the practiced make truly unique jewelry.  Jason describes his work as “Precisely Natural” - indivisible from its natural inspirations, and made manifest by a commitment to consistently excellent craftsmanship.
