These cutting boards are each completely unique works of highly functional art. Super-dense mesquite boards are cut and kiln-dried, allowing cracks to form in the surface. Those cracks tell the artist where to inlay the turquoise, which is first ground, then mixed with a hard, food-safe resin. The resin is packed into the crack and, once dried, sanded to a smooth finish.
The long-lasting result is completely food safe and washes with soap and water. (Not safe for dishwasher.)
